The Public Nuisance Petition and Reporting

The public nuisances are conditions created by humans that endanger the living environments and public safety. When the following public nuisances are sighted, please report by calling 0800-066666 telephone number, 24-hour special line: (03) 9907733, or report online via the Yilan EPB website.

  1. Factories release waste water with peculiar colors or smells.
  2. The color of the rivers and creeks appears to be unusual or the fish die in abnormal amounts.
  3. Dumping waste such as garbage or animal corpses in rivers or creeks.
  4. Factories release black smoke or gas with peculiar smells.
  5. Open Field Incineration (better if witness could provide information about the violator or pictures of the violation in progress).
  6. Restaurants release greasy smoke or foul odors.
  7. Vehicles that discharge black smoke (please write down the license plate number).
  8. Construction sites, factories, businesses, sound amplifying equipments and/or the entertainment facilities that generate loud noises and disturb public peace.
  9. Wedding, funeral or temple fair activities that use sound amplifying equipments and disturb public peace.
  10. Unidentified chemical material being released or found in land-fills.
  11. Littering of waste or soil.
  12. Improper operation of garbage landfills that causes foul odors, mosquitoes to grow quickly, or the garbage flying in the wind.
  13. Advertising posters or flag at unauthorized area.
  14. Piles of building demolition waste to not removed.
  15. Abandoned vehicles without license plates.
